When Disappointment Disappoints…

God has a purpose for allowing the disappointments in my life. He could prevent them if he wants to but he allows disappointments for very specific reasons — that he will turn them for His glory and my good (Romans 8:28) He’s far more interested in spiritual development than relieving me from disappointment. There’s a difference between fundamental faith and active faith. In the battle Faith vs Reason, don’t let reason win. Disappointments are opportunities God used to stretch our faith and demonstrate his power. They are not an indication that God does not love me, see me or care for me. God always loves me. When I experience pain, so does he. In his gracious compassion and mercy, he suffers with me. At the end of it all, peace will prevail when I learn to wait upon the Lord especially in the midst of disappointments.
